People, some drama just concluded in downtown Kumba. Policemen went to the streets to ‘enforce’ the communique from the colonial governor by sealing shops and off licences. The people got enraged and started gathering when two boys from the crowd came forward and dared the police.
Five policemen tried to hold one of them but he threw them to the ground. A trigger-happy officer shot at the two boys but the cartridges didn’t penetrate. The boys bragged that they had ‘cooked themselves’ and that they were many in town. The population got the courage and started applauding the two boys. Sensing danger, the police called for reinforcement and the boys retreated boasting that, ‘WE WILL SEE TOMORROW’.
My Comment: My people, e don bad! I hear more than 200 of such are in some bushes around certain towns (I wouldn’t name the towns).Any military officer who loves their lives must be careful. DO NOT SHOOT. If you do and are not able to kill the boys, then guess their retaliation. Give the space to demonstrate peacefully!
From a federalist to a nationalist / ‘independentist’. The Southern Cameroons MUST be free.
